I firmly believe that taking care of your skin should be part of your everyday routine. We often realize in our late 30’s and 40’s how weathered, dull and pigmented our face has become.

e are a few DIY face masks that are so easy to make, super affordable and save up so much time.

Honey & Banana Face Mask

Don’t throw away your over-ripened bananas! Use them generously on your face for soft, moisturized skin.

Take half a banana. Mash it using a fork. Add a tablespoon honey and mix well. Apply on your skin using a blush. Leave it on for 20 minutes and rinse it off with water.

This will make your skin extremely hydrated and soft. You’ll see a noticeable difference from first use itself. And it takes only 5 minutes to prepare and costs practically nothing!

The magic of apple cider vinegar!

This is my Holy Grail product! I drink it, I apply it on my face and I even bathe with it. The benefits of apple cider vinegar are countless. From weight management to skin toning, there’s nothing that this amazing product can’t do for your skin! What I love to do is – I love to add 1 tablespoon of ACV from Braggs in about 500 ML water and rinse my face with it. Pat your face dry with a towel after this. It acts like a natural skin toner, instantly tightening your pores and cleaning off all the grime. Over time, you will notice a considerable difference in your skin, especially if you suffer from large pores.

Oatmeal, yogurt and honey face mask

This is another one of my favorite homemade face masks that shows quick results. With ingredients that I always have in my kitchen, I use this at least once a week on my face to brighten my skin and hydrate it.

All you need is one-tablespoon oats/oatmeal (I use Quaker oats but feel free to use any). Add one tablespoon yogurt (dahi) to the oats and mix well. Once mixed, add one tablespoon raw, organic honey. Apply this mix generously all over your face. Leave it one for 15-20 minutes and rinse it off with water. You’ll notice how you skin has become supple and dewy.
